The Nomberg Law Firm is proud to announce that Bernard Nomberg, David Nomberg, and Steve Altmann have been named to the 2026 Mid-South Super Lawyers list. This prestigious honor is awarded to no more than 5% of attorneys in each state, recognizing those who demonstrate exceptional professional achievement and peer recognition.
This is the 14th year in a row Bernard and David were selected as Super Lawyers, which demonstrates the brothers’ tenacity and consistency in representing their clients to a higher standard.
Bernard and David were recognized for workers’ compensation. Steve was recognized for bankruptcy.

Bernard and David Nomberg primarily represent injured workers throughout Alabama in workers’ compensation cases. The attorneys are AV Preeminent-rated by Martindale-Hubbell. David serves as president of the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG). WILG is the premier organization for lawyers who represent injured workers. Bernard serves on the Board of Directors of WILG.
The attorneys have chaired the workers’ compensation sections of the Alabama State Bar, the Birmingham Bar Association, and the Alabama Association for Justice. Both lawyers are fellows in the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers.
Steve Altmann has been representing debtors and creditors in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters for more than 30 years. Steve is also AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell for his ethical standards and legal ability and serves on the panel of Chapter 11 Subchapter V Trustees for the Northern District of Alabama.
